As the international break begins and First Team players focus on working hard at Inter Miami CF Training Center over the next two weeks ahead of its next MLS fixture, Inter Miami CF II is set to kick off its exciting 2022 inaugural campaign. Here is what is up next for our First Team and Inter Miami CF II players this week.
Monday - Off
Following its road game in Cincinnati over the weekend, the team took Monday, March 21 off to recover ahead of returning to training on Tuesday.
Tuesday to Saturday - Training
The squad will be hard at work at Inter Miami CF Training Center carrying out training sessions from Tuesday, March 22 through Saturday, March 26.
Thursday - International Duty: Lowe and Jamaica vs. El Salvador; Quinteros and Bolivia vs. Colombia; Yedlin and the USMNT vs. Mexico
Several Inter Miami players will be representing Inter Miami on the international stage over the next two weeks, starting with defenders Damion Lowe, Jairo Quinteros and DeAndre Yedlin this Thursday, March 24.
Lowe and Jamaica will be hosting El Salvador at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica at 7:05 p.m. ET, Quinteros and Bolivia will be playing away against Colombia at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla, Colombia at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Yedlin and the USMNT will take on Mexico at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City at 10 p.m. ET. All three matches are FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, with Lowe and Yedlin competing in Concacaf Qualifiers and Quinteros in CONMEBOL Qualifiers respectively.
Additionally, attacker Edison Azcona is currently with the Dominican Republic’s senior national team in a week-long training camp in Murcia, Spain, which finishes on Sunday, March 27.
Saturday - Inter Miami CF II vs. Columbus Crew 2
Inter Miami CF II, the club’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, is set to kick off an exciting 2022 campaign on Saturday, March 26, when it hosts Columbus Crew 2 at 6 p.m. ET at DRV PNK Stadium in the team’s first match of the season.
Sunday - International Duty: Lowe and Jamaica vs. Canada; Yedlin and the USMNT vs. Panama
Defenders Lowe and Yedlin will once again be part of their national team squads for Concacaf FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Lowe and the Reggae Boyz will visit Canada at BMO Field in Toronto at 4:05 p.m. ET, while Yedlin and the USMNT will host Panama at 7 p.m. ET at Explordia Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
