Inter Miami CF II and Academy U-17 defender Israel Boatwright has been called up to the Dominican Republic U-20 National Team. Boatwright will join the team for a training camp running from April 30 to May 6.
The call up comes on the heels of Boatwright’s professional debut with Inter Miami CF II, with the defender coming on as a second-half substitute in a 0-1 win over FC Cincinnati on April 23. Boatwright joins the list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team. The list includes: Noah Allen (U.S. U-20 MYNT), Edison Azcona (Dominican Republic senior and youth national teams), Benjamin Cremaschi (U.S. U-19 MYNT), Tyler Austin, Justin Ellis, Santiago Morales and Felipe Valencia (U.S. U-15 MYNT), Logan Batiste and Tyler Hall (U.S. U-17 MYNT), among others.
