Inter Miami is preparing for an important matchup against FC Cincinnati at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Head coach Phil Neville praised his side’s 3-0 midweek victory against Toronto FC, an important result that raised the team’s morale.

“We got back to winning ways on Wednesday night against Toronto, which I thought was vital. The mood on Thursday morning was night and day… It’s given everybody a lift,” said Neville.

“The players had fun and the supporters had fun watching us. I just want that feeling again, I want that feeling in every game of the season, from now until the end of the season.”

Meanwhile, defender Christian Makoun, who scored against Toronto, expressed complete trust and confidence in his teammates as he knows everyone is willing to give their all for the team.

“We know that we will fight until the end for this team. It is important to maintain confidence in the dressing room and maintain it once we step up on the pitch.”

Makoun was also proud of his goal and contribution to the team while also emphasizing how the team is calm and prepared despite the stakes.

"It's the hard work that came good in the end, scoring a goal at home and contributing to the victory is the most important thing,” he stated. "I believe that we are calm and rested. We know that we have to be physically ready for tomorrow because it is an important match for us."

Lastly, Neville emphasized the players’ desire and willingness to see off the season on a high note and how the players have no choice but to give it their all.

“We’re getting to the point [in the season] where we got to just give everything we can. We can’t leave anything in the dressing room, we’ve got to give every ounce of energy, we can’t leave anything in the tank,” he concluded.
